About the Alternative Investment Conference (AIC)

The Alternative Investment Conference (AIC) is a dynamic forum for education and networking between leading luminaries from the hedge fund and private equity industries and the brightest students, from undergraduates to PhD candidates, who travel from as far a field as China and California to attend the Conference. The AIC combines the academic excellence of its namesake institution, the London School of Economics (LSE), with the professionalism and prestige of the attending industry professionals and student delegates.

The conference takes place over two days at the five-star London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square, and brings together over 40 senior level industry leaders and 320 delegates from around the world for an unparalleled learning experience.

Our partnership with the LSE AIC

For the 2nd year running we had the opportunity to work with the AIC and this year we provided a mind-stimulating DCF competition to allow delegates to test their financial modeling and valuation skills. We received a great number of entries; all prepared to very high standards. Stephen Herlihy, AMT senior trainer, commented:

“There was good analysis of market data for the WACC calculations, a few excellent Beta calculations which included regression analysis..”
