Matthew Parker Trainer

Matthew began his career at PwC in the Valuations Division after graduating from the University of Auckland. At PwC, he worked on a number of transactions in the utilities, food & agriculture and retail sectors. In 2000, he moved to London where he worked for Daiwa SMBC initially in their TMT team, working primarily on Telecoms and then in their FIG M&A Division. He worked on a number of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions including the privatization of Banca Comerciala Romana which was sold to Erste Bank for EUR3.75 billion.

He began his career in financial training in 2009 and has worked at AMT Training since 2015, where he is now a Director. Matthew specializes in corporate finance, company valuation, financial institutions, and modeling. He has designed corporate finance and asset management graduate programs for clients globally including many Wall Street clients. Within financial institutions group (FIG), he has designed and delivered bank valuation and regulatory capital courses for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategy, finance and senior management globally.

Matthew is an energetic and enthusiastic trainer. His passion for finance topics means that dry subject areas are brought to life in a fun and effective manner. Matthew has an interactive and engaging style making him a popular choice amongst AMT clients.

As well as being an experienced trainer, Matthew is also the Director responsible for new product development. He is therefore heavily involved in the design, delivery and scheduling of new and innovative in-house training and public course programs for our clients.
