Mike Pawley Trainer

Mike started his financial career at Price Waterhouse (now PwC), auditing banks’ derivatives books and advising the Financial Services Practice team on all aspects of clients’ derivatives usage. He then moved to Barclays Capital, where he was responsible for teaching derivatives pricing and analytics, including delivering the graduate programme. Mike joined Deutsche Bank in 2001, where he was responsible for financial product training at the Corporate & Investment Bank, and managed the global graduate training team delivering markets, corporate finance, and transactions banking programs. Mike was also responsible for training Deutsche Bank’s clients on derivatives and capital markets, including hedge funds, asset managers, central banks, sovereign wealth funds and ministries of finance. Mike also specialised in one-to-one consultative training on derivatives and capital markets issues for members of the Deutsche Bank Management and Supervisory Boards.

Mike now has his own markets and derivatives training company, Asset Class Ltd.

Mike has a PhD in Monetary Economics, and is the author of two finance textbooks. Mike has a flair and enthusiasm for teaching financial maths, derivatives and capital markets to diverse groups, from interns to graduates to managing directors and CEO’s.
